Hi, I’m Anna
I grew up in a small village in Ukraine, taking long walks in the forest with my grannie, gathering mushrooms and enjoying the quiet beauty of nature. Those moments taught me patience, creativity, and a love for simple, handmade things — lessons that stayed with me forever.
When I moved to the USA in 2022, everything felt new and overwhelming. I didn’t speak English, and even small tasks were a challenge. But I learned step by step, making mistakes and moving forward — just like I did when I discovered candle-making.
Candle-making quickly became my passion. I spent years testing waxes, wicks, and fragrances, learning from countless failed batches until I created a process I’m proud of. Today, every candle is hand-poured with a custom blend of coconut and soy wax into handcrafted concrete vessels. They’re not just candles — they reflect patience, creativity, and care. And once burned, the vessels can be repurposed into planters, pen holders, or whatever you dream up.
For me, candle-making is a way to bring warmth, comfort, and a touch of nature into everyday life. I hope Mavka candles make your space feel cozy, peaceful, and connected — just like those childhood walks in the forest.
